I expected to see it sometime this coming week and it came today! Thank you to Inventables for fast processing/Shipping!
An added bonus: FedEx only managed to maul one box! It was the 1000mm rail box. Hopefully, no damage is found when I open tomorrow.
My Wife said āWell, at least they didnāt put a FRAGILE label on itā¦that translates into āKick Harderā in UPS/FedEx language.ā lol.
Anyways, thanks again Inventables staff for a quick delivery.
Congrats! I received my packages last Wednesday. Started assembling this morning. Think I am about half way done. Canāt wait to get it finished! Good luck with yours.
Yeah, those ten pounds worth of ziplock bags is pretty daunting when you first lay 'em all out lol. I got maybe 3/4ās of the way built today? Iām guessing Iāll be buttoning up the build tomorrow.
Then, I have to throw a 20 amp breaker in the panel and run some 12-2 romex to a couple of receptacles because my Builder, in their infinite wisdom only ran 15 amp GFCIās in the garage. Iāve got to build a work station table for it as well. I hope to be test driving it by Saturday/Sunday at the latest.
The day my Inventables came was a great day indeed, so I know how you feel. The build is the fun part, that is until you turn it on for the first time. Or maybe the fun starts when you do your first carve, or when you you do your first āadd-onā.
The point is there is a LOT of fun headed your way with the X-Carve.
I used to wish I was younger so I had more time with pretty women, now I wish I was younger so I can spend more time with my X-Carveā¦
Congrats on buying an X-Carve and welcome to the forum. I purchased my X-Carve last year and also had to build a table for it. I built the table 4ā X 6ā and used the 2ā leftover piece to make a drawer. The drawer holds all my clamps, tools and extra parts. I designed the drawer pull and cut it our on the X-Carve. Good Luck with your X-Carve.
Thanks Russell, that table looks great. I too will be doing something along those lines as well. The bench itās setting on in my pic is 4ā X 8ā and is my work bench / outfeed table for my table saw. It canāt stay there but was great to build it on as I had plenty of room for laying out the 15,000 ziploc bags lol.
I have a reload bench set up along one of the Garage walls and the new X Carve table would work perfectly in that location as itās close to the Electrical panel, making my 20 amp circuit install easier. So, the reloading equipment is going inside to the Home Office the Wife & I share.
Thank you and youāre welcome. Your reloading equipment is something for both you and your wife so Iām sure she will let you have some extra space in the home office. Let me know how that works out for you. Good luck my friend.
Yeah, actually Iām going with the ābetter to ask forgiveness than permissionā route and see if it works. After all, all that humidity is bad for the powder anyways right?!
