How do I engrave a logo in the recessed area? I read where you can set the zero from the recessed area but then I will lose my X-Y home and the program will carve the logo in another location. If I set the zero using the probe on the X-Y home and adjust the depth it still carves air.
I was thinking through the same problem. The only easy solution I’ve come up with is to set the height to the outer height, and set the depth-of-cut to the outer height - the leftover wood. This will cause the machine to cut air for a while, but it should retain it’s safety height and not screw anything else up.

Say you have a piece that is 1" high, with a .5" bowl cut. You want to cut .25" into the bottom, so you’ll set the depth of cut to .75".
Note this doesn’t work for v-carving. I don’t think there’s a good solution to using V-Carve inlays in a recess with Easel at this time.
