I have been using my x-carve since 2018 without any issues. Just recently the z probe stopped working. When I go into machine setup in easel the z probe checkbox is unchecked. If I check it and go through the setup at the last step when you touch the puck to the router or clip I get a screen with an unhappy face that says something when wrong. I bought a new z-probe kit and it still does the same thing. I haven’t replaced the cable yet but that was going to be my next step. I am just curious if anyone else has had this problem and what the cause was.
I’m trying to find out what happened to my Z probe. I ran my first cut and everything was GOOD. then I set up the second cut the exact same way. ONLY this time the Z probe decided to move in the wrong direction. SO I tried to set the ZERO manually on my work piece. when I tried to touch the surface of the wood by using the UP/DOWN arrows on my computer, I touched the down arrow and the spindle and probe went UP . I touched the UP arrow and the spindle and prob-e down. I checked all the wires and connections, everything looked good. HELP HELP PLEASE. ps, I have an inventables X- Carve, 500 by 500 mm.
