Could someone please confirm that the X-Carve Pro 48x48 inch working area means that it will actually cut to each outer edge of a 48x48 inch piece of material and not just be able to fit on the table?
This is also true with the dust shoe in place?

The bit can carve 48x48 but you need to account for either clamps, plastic nails, brass screws or glue to hold down the material. If you use clamps the portion of material it is clamping can’t be carved.
If you use glue you can carve the entire work area.
