Waste Board 2 by 2 grid

Im looking to cut 2 by 2 in squares on the waste board

  1. What bit should I use?

  2. How deep should I go?

  3. Anything I should look out for when making a grid?

I would use a vbit at .01 and the only thing to watch would be not go to deep. All you really need is to mark it.
