Unable to use the center of the stock as zero

I’ve created a sign in easel and wanted to use the center of the stock as my zero point but it wants to start on the bottom left

As seen in the picture i have center selected but the simulation starts at the bottom left. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

You need to change the x&y position up in the right corner to x0yo. That should move your center of work to 0

Selecting the center dot has nothing to do with homing of the machine. Those dots are for placement of your artwork. You need to do as Wayne said and set the X to 0.00 and the Y to 0.00. That will put home in the center of your artwork. Then when you set home on the machine you need to home to the center of your board.
