I found that they make for quick and easy wood storage:
The two shown in the bottom picture are actually full of my nicer Home Depot wood now, and a couple boxes of hardwood flooring scraps.

Y’ALL LAUGH, but i live in a “not so nice” area of town with a bad habit of having “front porch furniture” stolen… for 10 years, i have had “rustic” bench (made out of an old pallet) on my front porch - it looks great, but you’d NEVER want to sit on it!! it’s never been stolen…
