I was jogging my machine last night and noticed that my x/y axes were making this odd noise. This is the first time I’ve had a machine with ball screws/linear guides on the x/y. Is this noise normal?
I don’t hear anything abnormal. Was there a specific sound I should be listening for?
Good, that’s really what I wanted to hear. Not the hum of the axis moving but the subtle scratchy sound. I’m guessing that’s the balls moving?
I’m outside my knowledge on this. I’m coming from the OG x-carve and am not used to this sound.
