Need to rub an "air cut"

I recently upgraded my 2016 x carve and I’ve been having an issue running a wasteboard flattening file. The machine is running fine and I’ve made a couple of cuts and both ran well. I want to run the wasteboard cut as a test air cut to see if it’s the file or the machine! My question is how would I do that? Thanks Greg

Just set your z zero above the waste board 1/2" and it thinks that is zero. As long as you are not taking a 1/2" off it will never touch.

Thanks I’m going to put a half inch block under the triquetra before I zero all of the axis. Thank you Sir!
