Microstepper adjustment

put a cnc for newbies z axis upgrade because th stock z was noisy going up and down put the new one on and same noisy motor up and down did a search and it was suggested to change z axis to 1/8 microstepping and $102 setting x4 of current setting, was 50.059 to 200.236. This quieted the movement of the z axis to the same level as the x and y… Also did a measurement and the z axis moves 10 mm when set for 10 mm. will this change cause any issues. Thanks Ed
