One last question, I have had problems seting the XY zero before when I was cutting a design on a piece with rounder corners. Do you have a trick for setting the home position?

I change my zero to the middle of the piece and use one of these to find the center of the object:

That is $6.49…I use it all the time…I bought it for the lathe, but I find a use for it all over.

I am glad I asked, never seen one of those before. Looks incredibly useful.

I have a couple of them that are clear plastic, but I kept losing them in the shop, so I got the neon yellow/green one…now I can find it…lol

Made a test 3x5 card holder for on the desk. The test piece was done in 1" MDF, I will cut another in 1" oak, I was pleased with how the chamfering came out. I used a 0.25" endmill to cut the pocket, then switched to a 1/4" 60° v-bit to chamfer and do the v-carve, then switched back to the 0.25" endmill to cut the piece out.

Time to clean up my wiring…Started cutting the new enclosure…the top and bottom will be of 1/2" MDF and the sides will be 1/4" MDF. Here is the top and bottom cut. The holes on the top are for air flow, there will be additional holes on the enclosure sides. More to follow, including the connectors I have for the stepper motors, limit switches (yes real limit switches), and the probe. Great idea from @Zach_Kaplan, so I will be adding Feed Hold, Cycle Start and Reset buttons as well as an E-Stop button mounted.
