How do you make an exact size hole say 1/4 inch. and how do you place another .250 hole center to center 1 inch awa
Easal, v carve ms paint. or paint pro 9
With V-Carve, it is fairly easy…create your first 0.25" hole and select linear array:
Set your rows and column settings…then copy…
Mine above used 0.5" holes…no difference to using 0.25" holes/circles.
oh, thanks

Accomplishing this in EASEL is so easy.
Perform the following steps:
- Create your Circle.
- Change the Circle’s Width/ Height to be 0.25 in.
- Make the Circle’s cut depth the depth of your material.
- Select the Center as the Position to Display.
- Take note of your Circle’s X-Position.
- Select the Circle if not already selected.
- Hit CTRL+C (for Copy).
- Hit CTRL+V (for Paste).
- EASEL will create a new Circle at the same Y-Position just to the right of your original Circle.
- Select the newly created Circle.
- Select the Center as the Position to Display.
- Change the X-Position to whatever the position of the original Circle was (as noted at in Step 4) plus 1.
Steps 1-7
Steps 8-12
It seems like a lot, but it’s super easy…

It is probably important to note -
In Easel you can easily create this layout, however, you cannot carve this with a .25" bit. Easel does not support drilling.
thanks
I just started and noticed this issue with drilling, what software will support this approach where I am drilling 2mm holes with various patterns?
Thanks!
