When I export a gcode file from easel via my PC laptop, it inserts a m7 in the beginning of the file that does not allow code to run with picsender.
Where does this file come from on the laptop?
Exporting the same code from vcarve does not insert m7…?
Have you tried to edit it out?
Because the command (M7) is not recognized (accepted) by the version of grbl in use. It is grbl casting the error, not PicSender. PicSender will never change or modify a user’s gcode commands.

I wish they all respected that. Thanks for clarifying, John.
