Hey Guys I am new to CNC and Easel Pro Trial. I am also in Australia. I have a question for the Forum about using the Easel pains, what I would like to know is if I want to create a simple square and cut it out on my CNC do I still need Gcodes Or can I just use the icons on the left hand pain?
Thanks
P Joe Kinsella
Easel generates gcode from your design. There’s always gcode, but I would guess that the majority of Easel users never look at it.
Easel is a 3in1 package:
- Design (CAD)
- Generate tool paths (CAM)
- Transmit gcode to the Xcarve (GRBL) controller
So just use the icons/symbols/objects available in the software, there is no need to “think gcode” - that is done for you
