Easel Domain (URL) Change on 2/11/2025

Hello Easel community,

We have an important update to share: On Tuesday February 11th, 2025, Easel’s URL will change from https://easel.inventables.com to https://easel.com. Your subscription and access to features will not be affected.

What does this mean for you?

  • Bookmarks, shortcuts and Password Managers – We recommend updating any bookmarks or shortcuts to the new URL for a smoother experience. Your current links will still work for the time being. If you use a tool like 1Password, Chrome Password Manager, or Apple Passwords, you may need to update your saved credentials to the new domain.
  • For Schools or Institutions using firewalls – If you use Easel in a school or organization, you may need to allow easel.com inside any firewall or web filtering software if necessary.
  • Sign-in status – You may be signed out when accessing the new URL for the first time. If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it by clicking “Forgot password” on the login page.
  • Open Easel or Easel Cabinetmaker Projects – If you have Easel open during the domain change, or have had Easel open for a while without refreshing:
    • Ongoing carves will complete normally.
    • Automatic saving will work normally.
    • You might get logged out once from Easel while we switch domains. Use your existing email and password to sign back in at the new easel.com location.

Thanks for the heads up !!

Should we be updating our links, and start using this URL now, or wait until the 11th? I ask because I just tried it and got an error message.

Thanks,

Joe

You can use https://easel.com now as a home page for Easel, but for links to specific projects you will have to wait until after the 11th.

Thanks Jeff

Hi Will our old projects be available, or do we need to download svg’s and g-codes of them?
Thank you in advance,
Martin

All of your projects will still be available. This is strictly a change to the domain name used to access Easel. A change of address, if you will.

hello, did a test on my phone using google. went to easel.com, no problem. went to log in and it went to easel.inventables.com. Is this what will happen? This is the correct address to get into easel?

Thanks!

Hi Shaun,

Yes, https://easel.com is the correct address to get to Easel. That takes you to the Easel “homepage.”

The domain change for the Easel app itself doesn’t take effect until tomorrow, Feb 11. At that point you will see the new easel.com URL when using the Easel app to view or edit projects.

Is it my imagination or has the performance improved?

If you are referring to tool path generation performance, it might be this:

Thank you Jeff!

I know that I complain and moan a lot here at the things that I cannot do and/or limitations, but please know that I really do appreciate all that you and your team are doing to improve the user experience. You are appreciated.

2 problems I see so far, 1), cookie box opens everytime when I open a project. 2), Cant run the project. Only button in the top right button is “Export”…

None of my projects carried over, nor did my subscription for Pro.

Hi, Thomas,

Our team fixed the cookie box- so that should be all set. If you are seeing the “export” button instead of “carve”, this is related to the connection between your machine and Easel. When you can, please reach out to our Customer Success team at help@easel.com.

Hi, Jason,

Hmm, that certainly shouldn’t have happened. Please reach out to our Customer Success team when you can at help@easel.com.

If you are not seeing your projects, double check the email you are logging in with. You probably have multiple Easel accounts and are not accessing the correct one.
