Cutting depth help

I am having problems with cutting depth, my x carve cuts only half as deep as i set it. any help on this would be appreciated

not that i can help, but i am having the same issue, but mine cuts 1/4 of the depth set.

First off are you setting your z from the top of the material? Secondly have you calibrated the z axes to see if it moves the distance it is supposed to?
