Bit for inlay with flat point vs pencil point and another bit for surface flattening?

I’m choosing now a bit for inlay v-carving (have now 1/8, but would like to have 1/4)

Isn’t a bit with flat point helps to carve without “leftovers”?
(I saw that Phil is preferring to work with a bit without flat point :slight_smile: )

I’m also thinking about surface flattening bit:

is anyone has tried this bit?
