Is there a way to enter all of my bits into the bit data base without having to enter each time i use it?
Some programs allow for this:
- CAMotics — this uses a JSON format Redirecting to Google Groups
- MeshCAM — proprietary .tps files, listing at: https://wiki.shapeoko.com/index.php/MeshCAM#TPS_files
- Autodesk Fusion360 uses XML: Fusion and Fusion 360 Feeds & Speeds Made Easy with G-Wizard - CNCCookbook: Be A Better CNC'er — a few more are listed at: https://wiki.shapeoko.com/index.php/Commercial_Software#3D_CAD
It really would be nice if all the companies got together and accepted a standard and implemented it.
Not sure if you mean in Easel but you can enter bits in other programs as Will indicated. Other programs like Carbon Create lets you define your bits in the tool database and VCarve/Aspire lets you enter the bits and also import bits from bit manufacturers.
