I’m a bit late to the game (and not much of a poster), but here’s one I make for friends. The pegs can either be 3/8" dowel cut to 3/4" (the standard model) or 9mm casings (for a “sportsman’s” version). I also made it like a magic 8-ball, so, depending on where the bottle cap lands, that’s your answer. I’m sure more creative “answers” could be substituted…
People like that shouldn’t even be on the internet. There are far worse things to stumble upon than a silhouette bottle opener. I am sick of living in a world where whine asses are catered to. This is why statutes get destroyed when feelings are hurt. I deleted my prevous rant because I can see where it was somewhat “offensive” and as per forum rules probably in violation but it’s only offensive to those who deem it offensive and go as far as to report it because they can’t keep scrolling like a grown adult.
Apparently a silhouette of legs bottle opener is offensive to more than one person in here it was flagged by multiple uptight people with no sense of humor who felt the need to protect others from such vulgar content lol
Yep One screw worked fine, 2 different mountings, as they where 20mm thick one was mounted on a brick wall using a Rawl plug and a 60mm screw, the other was mounted on a kitchen unit side wall and only 18mm thick vinyl covered particle board with a 30mm screw. As the pulling action of the bottle opener is approx 50/50 % in a downward / inward motion they seem to be holding up… especially after New Year celebrations ! Also the bottle opener is only held in with small 12mm screws.
Could do, but the 12mm screws are holding very well, and too be honest there is not a lot of force involved in pulling a beer bottle top, think I’ll keep it simple, 1 screw and it opens my beer.
As it was a Christmas present it was easier for the recipient just to use the screw hole, and also this might has been too much for him as DIY is alien to him. Lucky for him my sister in law managed to fix it in place for him.
