My name is Sheri. I was an EMT for a while and “retired” so that I could start a family. I have been very fortunate to not have to work while raising my boys (now 20 and 15). Last year, we found out my husband has cancer. In that moment, our whole world changed and a lot of things run through your head with news like that. One thought in particular for me was, how am I going to make ends meat if my husband dies? I can’t go back to work without going back to school, which takes time and money and no one is going to hire a 50 year old with no job experience outside of Healthcare. Then I saw an add for the X-Carve. I can totally do that! So started my new adventure in being self employed. The joy in all of this (one of many) is my newly wed daughter-in-law is helping me with the business on her days off and we hope to have her work with me full time. So far this has all been a positive experience in many ways.
