Hi, I am a hobbyist woodworker and became interested in the X-Carve after watching the New Brit Workshop. I have been following Peter's step by step assembly, wiring and commissioning of the system. I was looking at laser carving, but am now considering this product as a more cost effective and expendable product. Using Easel software is also a good entrance into CAD/CAM work. Again, a good introduction into CNC machining.
