# Zero/Home Manually for F360

Is it true that it’s not possible to manually zero/Home the Carvey and one needs to use the smart-clamp (read:non-smart clamp)? 🤦‍♂️

As feared then. Thats worthless. What did they think when designing that 🤔 Do you know another program I can use where this is possible? What does the smart-clamp actually do? -just for calibrating the length of the mill? Im wondering because one can adjust the thickness of the material to be thicker than the maximum thickness that can be clamped.
