Is it possible to use x-carve without the easel software? Or use the easel software offline? Does anyone have experience with this? Would love to hear.
Good morning. The answer is yes to both questions. Easel worked for me originally and I liked it. I was able to work with it offline and especially in my shop where the network was spotty. A few year later, I switched to Vectric VCarve Desktop, which I really liked, then upgraded to the VCarve Pro because I wanted to do inlay work. The Vcarve software comes with a program called VTransfer, which actually runs the XCarve. I am pretty happy with the system.
