# X-carve return, X, or complete to 0,0 height?

Can you change the height of the return to 0,0? When finished with a project and it starts to return to 0,0 it hovers over about 1/8 in and can hit the clamps. I have easily snapped 10 bits because of this. that’s easily $200. Help please.

What software are you using?  
You can also set home position in the center of your work piece that way the bit never leaves the boundary of your material

Yea, go to machine \> general settings and adjust the origin safety height, the one on the right side.
