I am thinking about buying the large x carve with all the extras to customize the end grain cutting boards I made. The main wood is hard maple. What obstacles should I expect to encounter? I want to do in-lays will this machine serve my purpose? Thank you in advance.

Search rigidity mods, Dewalt 611 and V-Carve Pro. With those items, you’d be good to go.
