# Ordering an x carve, what bits should I buy

I’m getting ready to order the x carve, and was just wondering if there are certain bits I should add to my order. Thanks!

Welcome to the forums 🙂

I assume you´d want to carve wood and other typical materials, some of the go-to bits are:  
1/8" Straight and upcut  
1/4" Straight and upcut  
60deg V-bit

With that you have a good base to learn from, its easy to overthink at this stage.  
Start using the machine, search, ask, try & gain experience 🙂

Add to your list down cut bits. You should also get 1/16" and maybe a couple of 1/32". I would also get 90 degree bits as well.

when you order your machine it comes with a selection of bits and it offers up a starter kit.
