Find Vector art of the gator google or Etsy it will be easy in Easel at that point

i have the vector but when i load it in easel it wants to cut all the way thru everything in black i just want to cut out around the edges. i just can not figure this out,

You will have to make a copy of the text, set one text to outline and send to the back of the project, set the other text to fill and a depth of 0.

See if this works never shared a file here so hope i did it correctly as you can see I have the letters overlapping on the logo I want to be able to cut out the outer edge like in the above photo but the logo only cut in about 1/8 or less. I redrew the gator head a few weeks ago for another project, for the letters to show you have to have a thicker border, I used your letters on my gator and thickened the border, give it a try

Thanks for the help . did you make a copy of all the images or just the letters. I will go thru that file and check it out more in depth just to see how you did that. Thanks again for the help I been racking my brain trying to figure this out and I think I can get it now.

In the future, you can use Inkscape to outline the image as a vector, then import into Easel. If you need to change the vector, you can do that in Inkscape or Easel (although that’s a lot harder).

I have tried to transfer/import basic images from inkscape into easel (like a sphere ornament) and I keep getting the error about svg not being able to import. Anything I’m doing wrong?

if you imported a picture into Inkscape to image trace, after you do the image trace delete the original import.Try that as I had that issue before,
