Hello Everyone,
I looked through the forums and instructions multiple times and I must be missing the answer.Thank you for your patience. I am a Mac user and have finished building our new X-carve 1000mm. The build went smoothly until I clicked on “set motor current”. Now I feel like I am in over my head.
I was able to follow along until I got to "_Then issue a very long Gcode command for that axis, something like g0x1000._\*\*

How/where do I issue Gcode on a Mac???

Thank you very much for your help

Greg

Greg, are you using Easel, Chilipepper, or UGS?

You will need one of these on your Mac before you can issue a Gcode command.

If you are using Easel, you will need to request the ability to send Gcode, since it is in beta testing. Here is the link.

We’ve released a new feature in Easel that allows you to import, validate and visualize g-code generated by other programs, and send it to your X-Carve or Carvey. Currently we support g-code from Fusion 360, MeshCAM, and Vectric products (including V-carve, Cut2D, and Aspire). The post-processors will all be available on the “Import g-code” file menu item. If you do not use one of those produ…

You can send single-line commands to the X-Carve from Easel without the gcode import beta access.

Just go to `Machine --> Advanced --> Machine Inspector` and you’ll see a dialog box that says “Console” In that box you can enter single line commands like the one you need.
