# How do you set the work area these days?

Hi, I read on this forum you could set Easel’s work Area in Machine \> Set Work Area.  
Has it changed?  
How do I set my machine’s work area now?

No change. You will find it in the place you mentioned. There are two boxes to input the desired X and Y size.

in Machine it only lets you set the work area size how do you set the work area origin i want the carve to start where the spindle is

@PhillipLunsford made a series of videos you may find useful to solve your question. This one [Setup and carve](https://youtu.be/NqbbHyHkwpY) might be what you are looking for. However, if this is not I would suggest looking through all the videos to see what does.
