# Dashed Line

I have a piece of basswood that I’m putting a name on. It’s 23 inches on the X axis and 9.5 on the y axis.  
On the 8 inch line up from the bottom, there’s a dashed line all the way across the 23 inch and out an inch past 23. The line then goes down from the end of the other dashed line. I’ve never seen this before that I can remember and I don’t know what the line represents and I can’t get rid of it. I hope I’ve made this clear enough. Thanks
