I’d like to get a bigger ball nose endmill to carve some bowls and spoons with. Is there any reason not to use a core-box bit instead of a machining type endmill? I’m thinking of something that looks like this - [https://www.amazon.com/Yonico-14166q-Core-Box-Router/dp/B018SZGGFG/ref=sr\_1\_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1471293650&sr=8-11&keywords=core+box+bit+1%2F4"](https://www.amazon.com/Yonico-14166q-Core-Box-Router/dp/B018SZGGFG/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1471293650&sr=8-11&keywords=core+box+bit+1%2F4%22)

I use them when roughing large 3d shapes they work great. I tend to use router bits more often they seem to take alot more abuse and were made for the higher rpm the only real use I have for milling bits are for when I need sizes 1/8 and smaller. I know others disagree but it’s what works for me.

Excellent. I’ll give it a shot and see how well they work. At a minimum, I should be able to hog out material a bit more quickly.

Thanks
