Went on Amazon and found a book “Getting Started with 3D Carving: Using Easel, X-Carve, and Carvey to Make Things with Acrylic, Wood, Metal, and More” for like$12. So since I had just ordered the xcarve, figured doing some reading from a book written by the company that made the product would be good before I got my xcarve. Then when I purchased, realized it said December 12 ship date. Ugh

A similar book, available now, by the designer of the X-Carve’s predecessor is Getting Started with CNC: Personal Digital Fabrication with Shapeoko and Other Computer-Controlled Routers
Are they close enough that it would be beneficial to this system?
Yes, the X-Carve’s changes don’t affect basic functionality.
Ok, great. Ordered, will be here tomorrow.
Thanks guys, I just bought the CNC one on my kindle… wishing the 3d one was coming out sooner.
Im just finishing up my build and I am worried about the learning curve, these forums are so damn intense!
I’ve been waiting for these books what seems like forever from my library. Let us know what you think of the books.
