Amperage Draw

Jepp, I was thinking e-stop and the problem with still continues power from the usb port after acticating the e-stop. But, since the Arduino allready has it’s special program loaded it can’t be done this way.

I don’t think there is a way to force power off on the Arduino while still connected to usb. But, if everything else is shut down it should not be a problem.

@AngusMcleod that is sort of the method I was thinking of.
If the +5V in the usb is cut then you have a data-only connection. Then use the 24VDC with a downscaler to power the Arduino. When u e-stop the psu, the Arduino will also stop.
